Additional learning support
At our school, we ensure every student is ready to learn. We support students with disability and additional learning needs so they can take part in all areas of school life. Students with additional needs can receive support in a mainstream class. Support can begin at any stage of school.
Support when transitioning to school
We are committed to supporting you and making sure your child gets the best start to school. If you are concerned with your child's development prior to starting school, we are here to help.

Support that fits your child's needs
Some students need extra support to feel confident and do their best at school. We work closely with families to make support plans and adjustments that suits each child’s needs.
These plans can include:
Additional learning support can include:
- teachers and support staff working together with families (and students, if needed)
- regular check-ins to review and update the plan
- accessible classrooms, assistive technology, or changes to learning activities for students with additional needs
We know when a student needs help when:
- teachers notice changes in learning or behaviour
- reviewing assessment results and learning progress
- parents and carers raise concerns or ask for support.
If you think your child may need extra help, contact us. Our office staff can help you book an appointment with your child's teacher.
Individualised planning
Student Support Plans are created in collaboration with you, your child, your classroom teacher and the Learning Support Team. These plans highlight the learning adjustments necessary for your child to access the curriculum, develop their social/emotional skills and achieve their potential. These plans are dynamic and used as a foundational tool for accessing further support.
Personal Learning Pathways are created for First Nation's students. These plans are created in consultation and collaboration with families and the school's Aboriginal Education Officers. Together, we identify organise and apply a personal approach to learning and engagement for success. Through strong relationships, collaboration, and partnerships with schools, staff and families we will see Aboriginal students achieve their aspirations and educational potential.
